Tim McGarvey
3D Animator

Tim McGarvey is one of the most highly regarded 3D animation artists in the business. As a pioneer in the use of computer graphics, Tim developed the process that takes the cinematic Computer Generated Imagery (CGI) style used in big Hollywood feature films and makes it both accessible and affordable for smaller budget film, television, and website productions.

Tim’s stunning award-winning animations have been featured in programs for NBC Dateline, A&E, Court TV, The History Channel, The Learning Channel and The Weather Channel. His unflagging attention to detail has proven especially invaluable in scientific programming, such as Discovery Channel’s recent hit, “EARTH: The Sequel.”

Tim’s lifelike—though scrupulously accurate–animations have been used by major corporations to demonstrate products in development. Hoffman La Roche Pharmaceutical used Tim’s work in their video presentation to the FDA for a drug approval. When the Steris Corporation, a billion dollar company servicing the defense, aerospace, medical and manufacturing industries, wanted to demonstrate their new decontamination process, they relied on Tim’s animation and production skills.
